Matcha in London

30Jan

Matcha is a growing trend across the world, and is a special type of Green tea which is often dried and grounded into a powder form. It comes in several forms, including tea, lattes, and even cakes and ice cream. These are the best locations across London where you can find these amazing matcha-filled treats.

Notes

If you’ve not tried Matcha before, Notes is a good place to go to start out. They have two locations in Central London, one near Trafalgar Square and a second near Covent Garden, which is great for those travelling around the city. They also do use a little bit of sugar in their drinks making it a little easier to drink and less bitter.

The Covent Garden branch can be found at 30 St Martin’s Lane.

Tombo Cafe

If you’re looking for a more authentic, Japanese experience of Matcha, then Tombo cafe is probably a better bet. They have Japanese-style tea sets that you can take home as well as a variety of Japanese desserts and drinks you can try.

They can be found at 28 D’Arblay Street.

Lagu

One of our top picks, Lagu is an amazing experience. The Matcha Latte here is full of flavour and so easy to drink, and if you’re looking for an extra kick you can ask for additional matcha! They also have plenty of reading material around, and plenty of plants to keep the air clean.

They can be found at 151 Lavender Hill, Clapham Junction

Milk Train Cafe

If you’ve not tried a Matcha Ice Cream, then now is the time. The Milk Train Cafe offers amazing soft-serve ice creams with clouds of candy floss around them. They look pretty and taste absolutely delicious too!

They can be found at 44 Bedford Street

The Best Pubs in London for 1st Dates

16Jan

Meeting people in London isn’t always the easiest thing to do, and sometimes just knowing the right place to go can be an absolute winner. After all, London is the place for a Romeo-Juliet story to take place, and so here are our favourite pubs for first dates.

Brewdog

Brewdog is always a great option because of their quirky advertising and fun drinks that you can have. It’s a bonus to take someone who is a beer fan, but if not there is the Underdog bar downstairs which serves a variety of Spirits including a Pickle Juice cocktail. They also have a variety of retro games and pinball which are a certain way to have some fun!

However, if you are only in London for a short period of time and are looking for a quirky way to see the city, these are some great places to try.

Why Cafés Make Great Offices

13Jan

Everyone has difficulty concentrated at home. A lot of people vouch for home offices, but they can often be lonely and isolating. Don’t get me wrong, some people may prefer that environment, but I am not one of them. As much as I love what I do, I find it necessary to create a clear divide between work and home to keep a balance. As a solution, I started doing a lot of work from cafes.
